Hi Dominic, I really like your photo essay and from the photographs you posted I get a lot of information about what is happening. The way they are sequenced in chronological order adds a nice element of fluidity and works best because they almost tell a story. Each image is taken nicely and the composition and aesthetic works. The one that was "fun" to me was your photograph (#7) with the subject blurred but the background in focus. It added some nice visual variety among your other photographs. There may be some repetitive photos in your sequence between numbers 5-8 because they all focus on the subject playing his guitar in the same position, but from different POV or scenery/background. I think the visual variety among your photos is good because the backgrounds/environment that each "set" is taken in changes (1-2 is loading the car, 3-5 is in a studio type room, and 6-9 is outside/looking over a lake). Ultimately what unifies the sequence of photographs is the person and the idea of music. When I see these photos it reminds me of my dad and going to his concerts before the pandemic began. It brings back warm and happy memories of getting together with family and friends and just enjoying listening to live music. One improvement I might make is to not have the sun in photograph #6 because it is distracting and messes with the exposure of the photo.
